Markelle Fultz will be the Magic’s starting point guard

The former number one overall pick got the chance at a fresh start when he was traded from Philly to Orlando last year.

Despite not playing a single game for the Magic yet, things are still looking up for the young Fultz, who appears to have impressed the team with his progress thus far.

If you’ve seen the workout video footage, you’ll see that his jumpshot looks better.

If you’ve heard from him or other people within the Magic organisation, you’ll see that expectations are increasing in terms of what he can do in the 2019-20 NBA season.

While he’s not going to come back and be an all-star right away, I think he can be the Magic’s starting point guard, if not immediately, then at some point during the season.

D.J. Augustin is fine is the current starter, but he’s definitely better suited to a backup role which means that the starting role should be up for the taking.

After what amounted to be nothing more than a false start last season, hopefully, this is the year that Fultz’s comeback story finally begins.
