6th Man of the Year: Montrezl Harrell, LA Clippers

It’s no secret that the LA Clippers have one of the best 6th men of all-time in Lou Williams. But what’s crazy is that he may not even be the best 6th man on his team this season.

Montrezl Harrell has been an absolute terror coming off the bench for the Clippers this season. The pick and roll combination of Williams and Harrell is nearly impossible to guard for the NBA’s best defenses let alone their second units.

Harrell is averaging a career-high 18.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game to go along with roughly one steal and one block per night. He is also shooting incredibly efficiently from the field with a field goal percentage just shy of 60 percent.

Harrell has been absolutely excellent in his role on the Clippers and is everything you need in a 6th man. That is why one-quarter of the way through the season I believe Montrezl Harrell is the 6th man of the year.

Other candidates: Derrick Rose, Lou Williams, Bogdan Bogdanović
