The Celtics will acquire Steven Adams

The Boston Celtics are in the market for a center, there’s no denying that. The big question is whether or not they will actually land one of the bigs that are currently on the market. Assuming that the Celtics wouldn’t be interested in giving Andre Drummond a max contract in the offseason, we can confidently cross him off the list.

If the Celtics are swinging big, that leaves to candidates: Clint Capela and Steven Adams. With Capela landing with the Hawks, I’m going to predict that Danny Ainge shifts his focus to OKC big Steven Adams.

It will cost the Celtics but with the way that the team has been playing, they should feel good about swinging for the fences. Boston is clearly the second-best team in the East and should feel like they’re a difference-making center away from possibly pushing the Milwaukee Bucks. Question is, does Adams check all the boxes for them?
