9. Washington Wizards – Obi Toppin, F, Dayton
From everything we’ve heard, it’s sounding a lot like the Washington Wizards are going to keep John Wall and Bradley Beal around for the foreseeable future. Assuming that, it would be in the best interest of the team to add to their frontcourt.
Obi Toppin could be a natural fit for the Wizards. Toppin is one of the most explosive players around the rim and is a bit more developed and mature than most of the other prospects in this draft class.
10. Phoenix Suns – Killian Hayes, G, Ratiopharm Ulm
With a glaring need at the point guard position – unless you believe Ricky Rubio is the long-term answer for the team – the Phoenix Suns would be smart to target a point guard at No. 10. And if Killian Hayes falls to them, it would be a great overall value.
Hayes is a player that could easily go in the top 8, and potentially higher. Next to an excellent shooter like Devin Booker, Hayes could be hidden (at least in terms of shooting) in the Suns’ lineup and his playmaking skills will certainly be of help.
