What will be the priority at the NBA Draft?

Unless the Knicks get a few lucky bounced at the NBA Draft Lottery, and assuming the standings are going to stay as-is, the team is likely going to be drafting at the No. 6 position. In somewhat of a “weak” draft, that’s not exactly an ideal drafting position. With really only three stud prospects in this draft, the Knicks will have to be calculated with the sixth pick.

Could they use a few of their young pieces and/or future picks to move up? Sure, but I’m not entirely sold that this would be the draft to make such a move. Unless the team is really, really sold on the fact that Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, or James Wiseman is going to be a superstar immediately.

With RJ Barrett already in the fold, does the team look for another backcourt prospect to stick next to him? Do they just select the best player available on their draft board? Do they try and use the No. 6 pick to try and acquire an established star?

There’s not really any potential scenario that you can count out when it comes to the Knicks.
