Combined stats: 48 points, 19 rebounds, 11 assists

The Dallas Mavericks were almost the Heat of the Western Conference before the hiatus was implemented. Led by a dynamic and ever-evolving young player and a veteran star, the Mavs were also emerging as one of the most dangerous teams in the Western Conference as the playoffs were quickly approaching.

There’s no question that Luka Doncic is quickly becoming one of the NBA’s staples. He’s dynamic in every sense of the world and is nearly averaging a triple-double in just his second season in the NBA. And if it wasn’t for a couple of injuries he suffered this season, there’s a good chance that the Mavs would be sitting as a top 4 seed right now.

As far as Kristaps Porzingis, while he isn’t the player that he was before his injury he’s still extremely effective and a dangerous weapon on the offensive end whenever he’s on the floor. When healthy, Doncic and Porzingis are one of the West’s dynamic young duos in the league today.

Should the playoffs get back on track, I’m not sure there’s any top team in the West that would want to square off against the Mavs.
