4. Tyler Herro, SG, Miami Heat

Tyler Herro was Miami’s first pick in the 2019 draft out of the University of Kentucky, 13th overall. The sharpshooter did not disappoint in his rookie year, emerging as a legitimate scorer who played a huge part in Miami’s surprisingly impressive season. The 20-year-old averaged 12.9 points and four boards per night while shooting an impressive 39 percent from downtown, which ranked him fifth among rookies. He also played 27.2 minutes per contest.

He was known as a legitimate shooter in college and that’s exactly what he showed in his first year in the association. Herro became one of Miami’s most reliable 3-point shooters along with teammate Duncan Robinson.

The former Kentucky standout likes to stay outside the perimeter and search for open looks from long range rather than get inside and finish at the hoop. But playing beside a solid facilitator in Jimmy Butler, Herro’s current role as a guy who can drain 3’s looks to be a suitable one.
