Worst: Signing Andrew Bynum

On February 1, 2014, the Pacers added center Andrew Bynum in hopes to bolster their roster before they would face the Miami Heat in the playoffs. However, that plan never came to fruition. Bynum only played in two games for Indiana before injuries ultimately ended his career with the Pacers and the NBA.

In his two games with Indiana, he averaged 11.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. However, Bynum did not leave the Pacers unscathed. He permanently messed with the Pacers’ chemistry. He reportedly instigated the previously mentioned fight between Evan Turner and Lance Stephenson.

On top of that, there is no doubt that the confidence of center Roy Hibbert took a direct blow when the Pacers felt the need to sign Bynum. Hibbert’s play was up and down for the rest of the season. While the signing of Bynum looked nice and flashy at first, it was ultimately a tremendous failure.
