Draft projects: Top 10

There is plenty to like about Deni Avdija’s game. The Israeli has great size for a wing and, despite not posting big numbers in the EuroLeague, is arguably the most hyped player coming over from Europe in this draft class. He only averaged seven points, four rebounds, and two assists in just under 20 minutes per game this past season for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Nevertheless, the potential is certainly present for Avdija at the NBA-level. With many teams already looking for the next Luka Doncic, it’s no surprise that the hype surrounding Avdija continues to grow. This is not to say that he’s certainly going to be the next Luka, but there are some similarities in their game.

Avdija, with his size and athleticism, will have the luxury of playing multiple positions in the NBA and versatility – he won’t be limited to one position or one role when he makes the jump to the League.

With that said, Avdija is far from a finished product and not a can’t-miss prospect by any means. Though, there will be plenty of teams looking to make a splash with the top overall international prospect in this draft class.
