Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are destined to make a return to contender status in the Western Conference in 2020-21. And it’s not just the fact that they’re expected to return a healthy Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. It goes well beyond just that. It’s certainly a big part of it, however.

When healthy, you can make the argument that Curry and Thompson come together to create the NBA’s best backcourt. Assuming both will be back at 100 percent by the time next season begins, coupled with the addition of Andrew Wiggins and a potential top 5 pick, along with Draymond Green (it’s easy to forget he’s still on the roster), and you can see why the Warriors will be one of the most dangerous teams in the West next season.

There’s no certainty that the Warriors will be able to replicate the same success that they experienced before Kevin Durant’s arrival, but they’ll certainly be in a position to. If all else fails, the Warriors will have the assets that it would take to reshuffle this roster too. That’s arguably what makes this organization so set up at the moment. The Warriors will be players in the Western Conference for years to come.
