NBA: Top 15 players from the 2019-20 regular season

9. Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron desperately needed another piece to join him in Tinseltown and he got his wish when Anthony Davis signed with the Lakers prior to this season. AD has enjoyed an impressive campaign, actually leading LA in scoring with 26.7 points per game while also grabbing 9.4 rebounds.
Davis and James are both averaging just over 25 a game as they continue to generate most of the scoring for Frank Vogel’s team. The former Pelicans star continues to improve his shooting game from downtown, taking a career-high 3.5 3’s for a 33 percent clip this year.
This is the first time in AD’s career he isn’t center stage, but it could be a good thing. With LeBron attracting the majority of the attention, Davis is still doing his part. He may not be taking as many field goals as he has in the past, but the 27-year-old is still a very important part of a Lakers team that was one of the favorites to win an NBA title this season before basketball was postponed. One of the most versatile bigs in the league, Davis has proved season after season to be one of the best players in the association.
