11. San Antonio Spurs – Tyrese Haliburton, G, Iowa State
Tyrese Haliburton just seems like an ideal fit for the San Antonio Spurs. He also happens to be on the shortlist of players that could have an immediate impact in the NBA as soon as he steps onto the floor. Add in the development of the Spurs organization and the history of success that Gregg Popovich has had with young, promising talent, and this seems like a match made in basketball heaven.
Coming off a season in which he averaged 15 points, seven assists, and five rebounds per game, Haliburton is one of the most efficient scorers in this draft class. He has great size and likely would be able to play multiple positions at the next level.
Haliburton is a player that could emerge as a top 7 pick by the time the draft comes around, and should he fall to the Spurs outside the top 10, San Antonio should be ecstatic with this selection. As always, the rest of the league should be fearful about the potential that he carries.
