18. Dallas Mavericks – Kira Lewis Jr., PG, Alabama
As one of the fastest players in this draft class, Kira Lewis could be an interesting selection for any team late in the first round. He didn’t get much attention during his time at Alabama but was extremely productive. He averaged 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists on 46 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range.
It will be interesting to see if his style of play translates to the NBA, and there might not be a better fit than a reserved role (at least early on) with the Dallas Mavericks. As a young emerging team in the Western Conference, Lewis would be an interesting fit with Luke Doncic.
Lewis needs to bulk up and bit and prove that he can be a consistent shooter (he was streaky, at times, during his college career). All in all, consistency has been the biggest for Kira Lewis thus far in his career.
If he can improve in that sense, there’s no question he’ll be on his way as a prospect in the 2020 draft class.
