NBA schedule takeaways: New Orleans Pelicans have a clear road to the playoffs

It was a shame that the NBA entered a hiatus when it did. That’s because the New Orleans Pelicans were arguably playing its best basketball when the season was paused. Zion Williamson was beginning to get more and more comfortable coming off an injury and Lonzo Ball was playing great ball too.

At the same rate, Brandon Ingram was having a career year and his numbers didn’t dip with the return of Zion into the lineup, which had to be considered a concern for the team as they began the season with Zion sidelined and recovering from injury.

Of the 22 teams that are participating in the NBA’s restart, the Pelicans have the easiest schedule. Despite the easier schedule, the team will still have to prove that they can make up games in just eight games and possibly defend its credentials in a playoff play-in tournament.

The Pelicans likely have the most talent of the teams vying for the 8th seed in the Western Conference, but they will need to prove it in the restart.
