NBA prediction No. 8: Jayson Tatum will cement himself as a superstar

During the month of February, there might not have been a better player in the Eastern Conference than Jayson Tatum. Ok, maybe Giannis. But apart from Giannis, Tatum was easily the best player in the East. During the Celtics’ 12 games in February, Tatum averaged 31 points and eight rebounds on 49 percent shooting from the field and 48 percent from 3-point range.

He was making scoring look easy and helped lead the Celtics to the 3rd seed in the East, just three games back of the 2nd seed. Perhaps we’re not going to see the same statistics from Tatum, but we’re going to see a player on the verge of superstardom nonetheless.

The Celtics will be a huge problem for any team in the Eastern Conference, and specifically, one that has high hopes of running through the East with relative ease. If the Bucks don’t make it out of the East, it might be at the hands of the Celtics.
