16. Memphis Grizzlies (32-33)
The Memphis Grizzlies will enter the NBA’s restart as one of the most interesting teams. They have a myriad of young talent and the right mix of veterans that could make this team dangerous in essentially a tournament-type restart. Ja Morant was sensational before the hiatus, and will likely win the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award.
How will he look after the four months off? Will he make another leap, and essentially be a second-year pro when he returns to the floor? That could potentially be in play for not only Morant but for all the young players in the league.
Add in Jaren Jackson Jr. and Justise Winslow, who will likely be making his Grizzlies debut in the restart, and there is a reason for renewed optimism even if many are quick to discount this team’s ability to hold off the likes of the Blazers and/or Pelicans.
