Phoenix Suns
3 top targets: RJ Hampton, Cole, Anthony, Theo Maledon
The Phoenix Suns need a running mate to stick next to Devin Booker. Ricky Rubio has been a solid stopgap for the team this season, but he’s not a realist long-term option for the team. Perhaps the Suns could finally find their answer in the 2020 NBA Draft. Even selecting at this point in the draft, they will have options.
The first that comes to mind is Cole Anthony. He’s as talented of a prospect as you’ll find in this draft class and has the big-name status that you love to see at this point in the draft. He’s a streaky shooter and has star potential. It would be a solid fit.
RJ Hampton is somewhat of an unknown in this draft but also has the potential to be one of the best players to emerge from this class. Theo Maledon is another name that could be selected at this point in the draft. Maledon has good size and could be viewed as an excellent project for the Suns to stick behind Rubio.
