Portland Trail Blazers
3 top targets: Devin Vassell, Patrick Williams, Saddiq Bey
The Portland Trail Blazers are set in the backcourt. While Carmelo Anthony has a pleasant surprise for the Blazers, it’s unlikely that he’ll be back on the team next season. Targeting wing depth would be wise for the Blazers in the 2020 NBA Draft. Vassell is a potential 3-and-D threat that could fit on the team, even if he isn’t ready to contribute on day 1.
Patrick Williams is another name to keep an eye on. Even though he left much to be desired during his freshman season at Florida State, he has all the tools you look for in young talent. He’s a raw offensive talent and has great size to be a versatile forward at the NBA level. Still, I’m not sure they’d be willing to invest that much in another prospect.
Saddiq Bey is another interesting name to keep an eye on. Bey is one of the most NBA-ready wings in the 2020 NBA Draft and was considered one of the best 3-point shooters (45%) in college basketball this past season.
Bey has great size and length to be a good defender in the NBA. In the right system and around the right players, Bey has the potential to be a well-rounded two-way player.
