NBA Playoffs 2020: 3 storylines and a prediction for Bucks vs. Magic
Who will step up for the Magic?
If the Orlando Magic are going to be competitive against the Milwaukee Bucks, they’re going to need a third or even a fourth player to step up offensively. If there’s one area that the Magic will be able to exploit about the Bucks it will be their inconsistent defense in the bubble. Orlando wasn’t a great 3-point shooting team in the bubble, but that’s an area where you can attack the Bucks.
For the most part, the Magic knows what it’s going to get from Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon (assuming he’s healthy enough to play). Which other players will step up to help give the Magic a shot in the arm?
Will it be Evan Fournier, the team’s third-leading scorer in the bubble? Terrence Ross, a savvy veteran that can score in spurts? Or perhaps Markelle Fultz will take a big step in his progression and emerge as a game-changer for an Orlando team that desperately needs star power?
Will this playoff appearance, a second in a row, prove to be just another false sense of accomplishment? To avoid that, the Magic – or perhaps even just one player on the team – will need to outperform expectations.
