The continued rise of Caris LeVert
Entering their first-round playoff series against the Raptors, the Nets don’t have much star power on its active roster. One player, though, that has shined almost in every game in the NBA’s restart bubble is Caris LeVert. In six games played, LeVert is averaging 25 points, seven assists, and five rebounds per game.
He nearly knocked the Blazers out of the playoffs with an exceptional 37-point performance in the team’s final bubble game and continues to show that he has the potential to be a star. Will we see more of that in the playoffs? Rewinding to last year’s playoffs, LeVert emerged as arguably the team’s best player in their series against the Sixers.
He averaged 21 points and five rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field and an absurd 52 percent shooting from 3-point range. When it mattered most, we saw LeVert elevate his game when his team needed it most. Will we see more of the same this time around in the playoffs?
