11. San Antonio Spurs – Cole Anthony, G, North Carolina
Cole Anthony is probably a name you’ve heard before, especially during college basketball season, but not one that you’ve heard connected to the top 10 in the 2020 NBA Draft. That’s because he’s coming off somewhat of a disappointing freshman season and there haven’t been any pre-draft workouts to change that.
I have a feeling that’s what will happen in the weeks leading up to the draft, opening the door for Anthony to reassert himself in the top 10. However, all it takes is for one team to take a shot on him. The San Antonio Spurs need star power and that’s exactly what Anthony has the potential to be.
Learning under Gregg Popovich and the Spurs’ system will only help Anthony develop and untap his potential. Anthony is a dynamic guard with playmaking ability. He is a bit of a streaky player but has all the talent in the world to be a real game-changer at the next level.
