17. Minnesota Timberwolves – Aaron Nesmith, F, Vanderbilt
Set in the backcourt with D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards, expect the Minnesota Timberwolves to address their frontcourt depth – and likely their wing depth with their second first-round pick. One interesting player that could be in play for the Wolves is Aaron Nesmith.
As one of. the better shooters in this draft, Nesmith, who shot 52 percent from 3-point range last season, could provide the Wolves with an added threat from deep.
18. Dallas Mavericks – Patrick Williams, F, Florida State
With the concerns that have surrounded Kristaps Porzingis this season and ones that will likely follow him into next season, it would be wise for. the Dallas Mavericks to add to their frontcourt depth. Adding an extremely talented player like Patrick Williams could be just that.
While Williams may not be a player that helps or contributes right away, he’s certainly a player that will pay off in 2-3 years if developed fully. Williams is a 6-foot-8 forward with limitless potential on both ends of the floor.
