23. Utah Jazz – Theo Maledon, G, ASVEL
Theo Maledon is one of the youngest players in this draft class and will need time to develop as a prospect, and what better place to do that than behind Mike Conley and Donovan Mitchell with the Utah Jazz. Maledon didn’t post big numbers last season in the EuroLeague but has a promising future.
The good news is that Maledon has improved as an overall shooter and a 3-point shooter over the last year. He still needs to prove that he can be a consistent playmaker and defender. There are plenty of positives in his game.
Maledon might not be a real contributor for a few years but is the type of pick you making knowing that. As the Jazz head into an offseason of uncertainty, adding a player like Theo Maledon could answer some of their questions of the future down the line.
