What will the team do with Al Horford?

Al Horford was one of the biggest disappointments from the 2019-20 NBA season. Not because of anything he did, per se, but more due to the fact that he simply didn’t fit as many assumed he would next to Joel Embiid. So much so that he was eventually moved to a bench role. Heading into the offseason, there’s at least a chance the team is open to moving the big man.

However, much of that will depend on how new head coach Doc Rivers views Horford and this current roster. Could he find a way for Embiid and Horford to coexist on the floor? Could Horford grow more comfortable into a bench role and transform into a potential NBA Sixth Man of the Year candidate?

There are plenty of questions and simply not enough answers at this point. Now that Rivers has officially been hired, I’m sure he’ll take time to breakdown the roster and figure out how exactly he’d want to use it moving forward.

Al Horford may or may not be part of those plans.
