3. Charlotte Hornets – LaMelo Ball, G, Illawarra

With the third pick in the NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets will select a LaMelo Ball. The Hornets could take a big man at No. 3, but with a James Wiseman off the board, it really doesn’t make much sense for them to take the next big at this point in the draft.

Instead, Ball will give the Hornets the potential for a new face of the franchise and a player that could emerge as a superstar. There are still big questions about Ball entering the draft, but there is a chance that he could emerge as the best player to come out of this class.

Ball has improved his outside shooting, has great size, and has the potential to be a great playmaker at the NBA level. He has great superstar potential and has the flash and big-name that it takes to carry a franchise. If Ball can live up to his potential, there is no question that the Hornets may have found themselves the new face of the franchise.
