20. Hassan Whiteside, unrestricted
Even though Hassan Whiteside has his haters and non-believers, there still very much going to be a market for his services this offseason. Whiteside might not be a consistent starter in today’s NBA, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t play a role for a playoff team.
Hassan is coming off a season in which he averaged 16 points 14 rebounds, and three blocks per game with the Portland Trail Blazers. He was a huge part of their success interiorly and will likely be a candidate to be re-signed by the team this offseason (if they can find a deal that works for both sides).
Still, I’m sure that he’ll have a few offers to sift through during the offseason. I don’t know if he’s going to be a starter for any team next season but there’s no question that she’ll be able to play a role for a team off the bench, at the very least.
