2. Brandon Ingram, restricted

I’m not sure there was a bigger surprise this season than the way Brandon Ingram played. So much so that it resulted in an NBA Most Improved Player of the Year award for the 2019-20 season.

It would be insane for the New Orleans Pelicans to let him walk. He’s a restricted free agent this offseason and I expect the Pelicans to match any offer he gets or not even let him test free agency. Along with Zion Williamson, the Pelicans have a nice young core that will make some noise in the Western Conference sooner rather than later. But that’s with Ingram on the roster.

Despite his struggles to start his career with Los Angeles, it seems like the trade to New Orleans has revitalized Ingram and he’s found his comfort in the NBA. Ingram is coming off the season in which he averaged 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists on 46 percent shooting from the field at 39 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Ingram should be re-signed by the Pelicans.
