It wouldn’t be an NBA Christmas Day slate without the league featuring and showcasing LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. After a sensational performance during the 2020 NBA playoffs, it would be interesting the see the Lakers face-off against the up-and-coming Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic.

The Lakers will likely be bringing back roughly their same roster, potentially with a couple of tweaks here and there. The Mavericks will be coming off an impressive showing in the playoffs themselves and had not Kristaps Porzingis been lost due to injury in the playoffs perhaps they push the LA Clippers to a Game 7.

Dallas is reportedly in the market for another star to place next to Luka and Kristaps, but the road to landing one appears bleak. Still, a clash between two of the most exciting offenses in the NBA last season wouldn’t be a terrible matchup on Christmas Day.
