6. Boston Celtics (via trade) – Onyeka Okongwu, C, USC

In order to jump up to No. 6, the Boston Celtics would trade the No. 14, pick No. 26 pick, and Gordon Hayward to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for the No. 6 overall pick. The Celtics will be making the jump from 14 all the way up to No. 6 to get their potential center of the future.

This trade makes sense for both sides and after what took placed in the playoffs, the Celtics have finally had enough and decide to address their center position with a high draft pick. Okongwu is a 6-foot-9 big with a 7-foot-1 wingspan that has the ability to be one of the most versatile defenders in the league a few years down the line.

Okongwu would fit right in with what the Celtics are building and would be able to learn next to Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker. In what has become one of the most successful developmental franchises in the NBA as of late, there’s no question that Onyeka Okongwu could be a vital part of this team’s rotation sooner rather than later.
