Miami Heat – winner

Notable moves: Re-signed Goran Dragic, Meyers Leonard, drafted Precious Achiuwa, signed Avery Bradley and Moe Harkless, lost Jae Crowder and Derrick Jones Jr.

While the Miami Heat may have “missed” on the likes of Danilo Gallinari and other big names, the team did a good job in recoup value in other areas of the free-agent market. Plus, the Heat added an interesting prospect in Precious Achiuwa, who could end up being a steal for the team at No. 20 overall.

Re-signing Goran Dragic and Meyers Leonard maintains this team depth – both players started at different points of the season for the team. Even though Leonard didn’t play much of a role for the Heat during the playoffs, he was a key locker room presence. It’s a shame that the Heat wasn’t able to retain Jae Crowder and Derrick Jones Jr., but Miami did swell by replacing both of them with Avery Bradley and Moe Harkless.

The best part of all the moves that the Heat has made during the offseason thus far is the fact that they still managed to improve (depending on who you ask) while still keeping flexibility heading into the next offseason (in their pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo).
