What to be thankful for: Drafting Killian Hayes

With the seventh overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons selected Killian Hayes. He’s one of the most enticing prospects in the draft class and offers the Pistons a clean slate. The opportunity for a new start.

Who knows if Hayes will be a difference-maker immediately, but it gives fans and the front office new hope. The likes of which that they haven’t had in a very long time.

Golden State Warriors

What to be thankful for: The No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft

After a season to forget, there was hope that the Golden State Warriors would pick up where they left off after losing in the NBA Finals in 2019. Though, after another significant injury suffered by Klay Thompson, there’s added doubt as to whether this team will be a contender in 2020-21.

Thankfully, they still had the No. 2 overall pick. James Wiseman will help this season and could emerge as a building block for the future. After another long-term injury to Klay, the Warriors should be thankful for the asset that was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
