Honorable mention: Minnesota Timberwolves

Maybe considering the Minnesota Timberwolves a threat to make a push towards the playoffs in 2020-21 is a bit premature, but there are so many elements of this team that I like. For one, when he’s at the top of his game, Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the most versatile big men in the game.

D’Angelo Russell is an explosive offensive player and has been somewhat overlooked since he was traded to the Golden State Warriors. Add in rookie Anthony Edwards and the sky is the limit for this young roster.

This team’s success will ultimately come down to how Ryan Saunders can make it all work, but there’s is a lot to like about this roster. The Wolves could be a dark horse in the Western Conference, though they might be a year or two off from being a real playoff threat.
