At the start of the 2020 NBA offseason, many questioned whether the Boston Celtics were falling behind the rest of the conference, as both the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers made improvements. However, even after losing Gordon Hayward, the Celtics still managed to improve the roster.

At the 2020 NBA Draft, the Celtics selected arguably the best shooter in the class, Aaron Nesmith, and added one of the best defensive centers in the NBA today, Tristan Thompson. Those two areas were huge needs for the Celtics heading into the offseason and they addressed both areas.

After another run to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics shouldn’t be overlooked as a contender in the conference. This team has all the tools to win a championship and if Jayson Tatum keeps developing, the sky is the limit for this group.
