9. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers made some major changes during the offseason, beginning by hiring Doc Rivers as head coach and Daryl Morey as one of the team’s main decision-makers in the front office.

After that, the team cleaned house a bit by trading Al Horford and Josh Richardson and added Danny Green and Seth Curry (more shooting). They’re going to continue to add players that complement Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid and will be hoping this duo is good enough to win in the East.

Perhaps entering a season in which expectations won’t be sky high will be beneficial for a team that has fallen short of expectations over the last few years. The talent is there and has never been a problem for the Sixers.
