18. Memphis Grizzlies

Up until the NBA’s restart, the Memphis Grizzlies were one of the best stories in the league last season. However, after running into a red-hot Portland Trail Blazers in the play-in tournament, the Grizzlies failed to make the playoffs.

The hope is that they’ll be able to pick up where they left off and will be even better this season. Ja Morant proved that he’s an excellent player and Jaren Jackson Jr. continues to improve. The Grizzlies may not have the big names (yet) but this team is coming.

17. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have been the talk of the offseason. After being one of the most active teams, the Hawks will be entering the 2020-21 season with expectations. Many believe that the Hawks will be a top 8 team in the Eastern Conference and their season will be considered a disappointment if this team doesn’t make the playoffs.

It’s finally time for Trae Young and the Hawks to rise. Will they be able to in an improved East?
