Golden State Warriors

You might be surprised to see the Golden State Warriors on this list, but they’re a team that you should never overlook. Especially when it comes to an opportunity to upgrade its roster. The Warriors have assets, in draft picks, young players, and established stars, that could entice the Rockets.

A combination of Stephen Curry and James Harden would be dynamic and arguably the best 1-2 punch the league has to offer – though, Anthony Davis and LeBron James would like to have a say. After Klay Thompson was lost for the season, the Warriors added Kelly Oubre Jr., but there’s no question that Harden would be a better upgrade.

I’m not sure how willing the Rockets would be to potentially hand the Warriors another championship, or a great shot at one, but if James Harden hits the open market there’s no question that Golden State should at least poke around.
