Christmas wishlist: Finding a disgruntled star on the open market

Many are hoping that the Golden State Warriors will be competing for a championship during the 2020-21 NBA season. Though, I have my doubts. The Warriors are not the same team that they were pre-Kevin Durant.

They are older, banged up, and a little less deep. Mary will consider this as a lost season for the Warriors as Klay Thompson is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to another significant injury. That said, I highly doubt that Stephen Curry doesn’t see it that way.

He’s going to have a chip on his shoulder this season and will be in the running to win the NBA’s MVP award once again. That said, I’m not sure this team has enough to compete with the likes of the Lakers Clippers, and so on.

That means that one of the greatest Christmas wishes that the Warriors can have is that they find a way to pounce on a disgruntled star on the open trade market. The Warriors have the assets to make it deal done and the cap space via trade exceptions.
