Christmas wishlist: A return to the playoffs

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be one of the most interesting teams heading into the season. After acquiring D’Angelo Russell at last year‘s NBA trade deadline, we never really got to see what the potential duo of Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns could look like at its greatest form due to a global pandemic.

The talent is in place in Minnesota, as has been the case before, but now it’s time for this team to actually be competitive in the Western Conference. They’ll be helped too by the addition of Anthony Edwards in the 2020 NBA Draft, though it’d be somewhat unfair to expect him to be a major contributor this season. Especially considering there was no real offseason.

The Wolves have young talent and a good head coach, from all indications. The big question is, can this team take the next step and make the jump to the playoffs this season? They’re hoping the answer to that is yes.
