Christmas wishlist: A nice return in a Kevin Love trade

Heading into the 2020-21 NBA season, it’s clear that this will be a real building year for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even after selecting Isaac Okoro with the fifth pick and the 2020 NBA draft, the Cavaliers are still facing it uphill battle as they attempt to get back into the player picture of the Eastern Conference.

I don’t know where the Cavs will finish this season, but they have a great opportunity of being extremely competitive. The duo of Collin Sexton and Darius Carlin will hopefully take the next step in the progression and depending on what the team elects to do with Kevin Love, the Cavs could have an even greater ceiling this season.

However, what the Cavs should be hoping for this Christmas is a nice return in a potential Kevin Love trade. Love is still a really good player at this point in his career, but he’s probably better off on another team at this point in Cleveland’s rebuild. He can help a contender and the Cavs would be greatly assisted by adding another asset or two as they continue their rebuild.
