NBA Trade Deadline candidate: Derrick Rose, Detroit Pistons
Derrick Rose is another potential Detroit Piston that could find his way on a contender on NBA Trade Deadline day. Rose is in the final year of his contract with the Pistons and likely won’t be re-signing with the team during the offseason.
Rose may not be the player he once was, but even in a lesser role for the Pistons this season he’s been productive. Plus, it should be noted that Rose is only 32 years old. In his second season with the Pistons, Rose is averaging 15 points and four assists per game.
Any contender that is looking for a backup point guard, depth in the backcourt, or even just a microwave scorer off the bench, Rose should be a viable candidate. He should be on the trade block; whether he gets moved or not will likely depend on whether potential suitors can meet Detroit’s demands.
