Why the Cleveland Cavaliers shouldn’t trade Kevin Love: His trade value is at an all-time low

Even though Kevin Love would be a valuable piece for any contending team looking to make a move ahead of the playoff push, I’m not sure that his trade value is at an all-time high for the Cavs. In fact, you can make the case that it’s the lowest it’s been in quite some time.

Love hasn’t played much this season and still has two years remaining on his contract after the season. Coupling those two facts, I’m not sure there are many teams that would be jumping to acquire the high-priced big.

Love is expected to return sooner rather than later and could quite possibly get his trade value up ahead of the trade deadline, but I just believe it’s too much of a risk for the Cavs to make especially if they’re going to except pennies on the dollar.

At least for the time being, it would be in the best interest for Cleveland to hold on to Kevin Love for at least one more season.
