2. Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz has been the best team in the NBA this season thus far. I don’t think anyone would argue with that statement. Still, it’s no surprise that the Jazz has their doubters heading into the midway point of the season.

It’ll be interesting to see how the rest of this regular season plays out for Utah and whether they can hold onto the No. 1 overall seed in the NBA. Even entering the postseason, I still don’t know if the Jazz will be favored against teams such as the Clippers or Lakers in a playoff series. That doesn’t mean that this isn’t a great team right now, though.

1. Brooklyn Nets

It’s no surprise at the Brooklyn Nets once again sits at the top spots of our NBA power rankings. This team has a historically great offensive trio and continues to win at a pace that suggests this team is barely scratching the surface of their potential.

The scary part about this all is that I’m not even sure if we’ve seen the Nets at their best this season yet. Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving haven’t played a ton together and I have a feeling that they’re going to hit their stride in the playoffs. That’s a scary thought for any team that is looking to make it out of the Eastern Conference this season.
