NBA seller candidate: Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings are more than five games out of the final spot in the playoffs. Even though there’s still hope that they could lock up one of the spots in the play-in tournament, I’m not sure this is a team that will be able to make a real push for the playoffs during the second half of the season.

That said, that opens the door for this team to potentially be a seller at the NBA Trade Deadline. The Kings have maybe two for sure long-term pieces on this roster, in De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton. After that, everyone else on the roster should be available at the right price at the deadline.

The Kings have more than one player that could potentially help other teams during the second half of the season. If Sacramento comes to the conclusion that they are simply out of the playoff push in the West, it wouldn’t be surprising for this team to become a seller over the next couple of weeks.
