6. Washington Wizards – Kai Jones, F, Texas

Assuming that the Washington Wizards aren’t going to trade Bradley Beal, they’ll probably look to add to their backcourt. Kai Jones could be a fit as a power forward/center type of prospect. The 6-foot-11 forward out of Texas averaged nine points and five rebounds on 57 percent shooting from the field during his sophomore season.

The verdict is still out on Rui Hachimura and Deni Avdija, but Jones would give this team some insurance in the frontcourt, something that they simply haven’t had over the last few seasons. It’s a shame that there likely isn’t a player at this point in the draft that will drastically change this franchise because the Wizards need a jump start.

A core of Avdija, Jones, Hachimura, and Beal would give the Wizards a nice core four to begin to build around.
