21. New York Knicks (via Dallas) – Josh Giddey, F, Australia

After selecting Cameron Thomas earlier in the first round, the New York Knicks will be able to be creative with this pick if they want to. One potential fit would be Josh Giddey, a 6-foot-8 versatile forward.

Giddey has already been compared to a poor man’s Ben Simmons, but I’m not sure I’m on that boat yet. We haven’t seen enough of a sample size from him to put him on that trajectory. Nevertheless, the intrigue is there.

Giddey averaged 11 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds this past season. The talent and potential are there for Giddey, but he’s still so much of an unknown that he’s going to be a risky pick for any team.
