NBA: 4 first-round playoff matchups that we should be rooting for

NBA first-round playoff matchups we need to root for: Warriors vs. Suns

As it currently stands, the Phoenix Suns appear to be locked into the second seed in the Western Conference and the Golden State Warriors are fighting for one of the final playoff spots. They’re currently in ninth place and are only a few games from the seventh spot.

Although it’s probably not likely they will see a Suns-Warriors first-round series, it’s certainly one that we should all be rooting for. It has storylines all over the place and features a premier matchup between Chris Paul and Devin Booker vs. Stephen Curry.

The Suns are somewhat of the new Warriors, with Booker’s rise to stardom, and this matchup gives Curry one more opportunity to show the league that he’s still very much one of the best players in the world.

This series would have offensive all over the place and the star power to carry the narrative. Shame on you if you wouldn’t want to see this first-round series.
