Why the Charlotte Hornets should be patient with LaMelo Ball’s return: This season has already been a success for the team

I know Michael Jordan is the owner of the Hornets and it’s championship or bust. That’s the cliche and it’s probably something that Jordan is trying to engrave into this team. Though, let’s be honest, this season has already been a success for the Hornets.

It was a success the moment that Ball began to show promise and when it was evident that he was not going to be a bust. No one expected the Hornets to be competitive, let alone make the playoffs in the East this year. The fact that the Hornets are doing both of those things, even without Ball and Hayward out of the lineup is extremely impressive.

This franchise has taken a clear step forward in its progression and will look to take another one this offseason. The Hornets shifted from being somewhat of a running joke to transforming into one of the most exciting young teams in all of basketball. Even without a return from Ball this season, this year has been a huge success all-around for Charlotte.
