Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks: Confidence is growing for Milwaukee

At least on paper, there’s no question that the Bucks are the more talented team. They should’ve beaten the Heat in last year’s playoffs and should have little trouble beating them this season. However, confidence is a real thing in basketball and plays a big factor in a playoff series.

After losing to the Heat in five games last season, it was important for the Bucks not to feel like, “oh, here we go again” after Game 1. Mission accomplished. However, you can’t help but feel like the Bucks would be taking a bit of a step back should they lose in Game 2.

A win for the Bucks in Game 2 would give the Bucks enough confidence where they’d know they’re not the same team from last year – if that’s not already the case – and give them the mental capacity that they need (if they don’t already have it) to confidently approach the rest of this series.

Losing Game 2 could indeed provide the exact opposite.
