Miami Heat adjustments: Insert Goran Dragic into the starting lineup
As good as Kendrick Nunn has been for the Heat this season, and an argument to be made that he’s been the most consistent guard with the exception of Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic must be inserted into the starting lineup.
Dragic is more comfortable setting up the offense and should give the starting 5 a bit more support offensively. He will be able to get the team into the sets early on and potentially set a tone for the rest of the game.
Even if Dragic struggles with his jump shot or on the defensive end of the floor, he least gives the Heat some organization and flow offensively. Whether that will lead to a victory in Game 3 or not remains to be seen, but he’s probably the point guard that gives this team the best chance at getting off to a great start against the Bucks.
This is an easy adjustment for Spoelstra to make and one that he actually used at the beginning of the playoffs in the NBA restart bubble last year. It’s time that he resources to it and with the Heat’s backs against the wall.
