The restart bubble has had a huge impact on this season

Looking at how the regular season went and how the beginning of the NBA playoffs has gone, you can’t help but think at how much the NBA’s decision to move forward with the restart bubble and the shortened offseason has hurt many teams across the board.

And it has impacted the teams that made the deepest runs in the postseason (in the bubble) last year the most. Looking objectively, the Heat, Nuggets, Celtics, and Lakers have all had disappointing seasons this year. And it’s no surprise.

There’s a legit chance that they could all be eliminated in the first round and I don’t think it would be by chance or coincidence. Should all their shortcomings this year be chalked up to the shortened offseason? Absolutely not, but there’s no question that it absolutely played a factor this season.
